FLORENT VS EVA DETOX: FROM MAN TO DRAG QUEEN
The month of June celebrates love in all its forms, with a special focus on the LGBTQ+ community. It was an opportunity for us to get the viewpoint of an artist who responds to the “he” when he’s Florent, and to the “she” when he’s Eva Detox.
Florent embodies a clever blend of femininity, glamour and extravagance through his drag queen, Eva Detox. Today, he shares with us his perception of beauty. He talks about well-being, creativity and, above all, passion.

You’re both Florent and Eva Detox. Can you introduce yourself and tell us how drag performance came about?
So, yes, by day I’m Florent, a passionate professional make-up artist who loves aperitifs on the terrace with friends and walks by the lake with his sweetheart. In the evenings, I transform myself into Eva Detox, a glamorous diva with a tangy sense of humor, whose shows mix class and beauty with a healthy dose of comedy.
Eva’s very first transformations took place in Lisbon, in a club called “Finalmente”. When I saw these creatures, tall, beautiful, so extravagant with their rhinestone-filled outfits, breathtaking make-up and so sure of themselves, I knew immediately that I too wanted to become a drag queen.
