INTERVIEW
TANIA MARMILLOD: BEYOND CODES
We’re back this month with a new portrait. Tania Marmillod, an artist from the French-speaking part of Switzerland, told us a bit of her story, and in particular her journey with social anxiety.
Artist, humanist, fashion fan and fervent defender of her convictions, she shares with us her vision of beauty and her view of society in 2021. Read on!
If, like us, you’ve fallen in love with Tania, her exhibition runs until November 29 in Geneva! Visit her Instagram to find out more.
You paint, create illustrations and are also a photographer. They are powerful means of expression that also help personal development. What does art bring to your life, and how does it help you flourish?
They are indeed powerful means of expression that allow me to blossom and share my ideas and emotions. Being rather introverted by nature, even if I’m at ease in a discussion, I find it very hard to talk about what I’m feeling. Art allows me to express what I keep inside me when words just won’t come out. Creating allows me to find a form of balance in my life.
